To say it was an amazing experience photographing these two would be an understatement. This couple share the most beautiful joy and deep affection for each other. In the last minute I heard they were coming in costume, which made it all the more fantastical to photograph. They danced the evening away in the golden hour and finished with a splash in the ocean!

They make a wonderful visual representation of two worlds coming together, with Yonita being Dutch and Kojo Ghanian. I first met Yonita in high school and was really excited when asked to capture her wedding. Knowing that Yoni had an ‘up for anything’ adventurous spirit, I knew this engagement session would be a whole lot of fun.

As I photographed Yoni and Kwadwo running down the beach together I imagined him rescuing her from her dragon protected castle. I mentioned this to my husband as we drove away from the photo shoot. Knowing he is an amazing artist, I asked him to bring the idea to life with a digital drawing which youll see in the blogpost. Digital Illustration: Shallsoar
A digital illustraion is an optional addition to the engagemant package.

To Yoni and Kojo: Thanks for giving me to opportunity to photograph you both and be so creative. I can’t wait for your wedding tomorrow.
